SETTLEMENT CAMPING WITH THE WILLIS'S AND MORE!

Friday when the kids got home from school we took the trailer up Settlement Canyon for a little weekend get away. We had to stay close due to softball commitments, but it was fun to just get out in the warm spring weather. Friday night we met the Willis's up at the campground after relaxing a bit and getting camp set up, I headed down the canyon to softball practice with the girls. WOW, in case I have never mentioned it, I LOVE SOFTBALL. We had a great practice and headed back to camp. When we arrived a fire was going and dinner was waiting. Can it get any better than that? We ate and sat around the campfire the rest of the evening.

Saturday Dan cooked breakfast to return the favor of the evening prior to the Willis's. He is an awesome camp cook. After breakfast we headed to the dam to fish. The only thing we caught was memories and fun, NO FISH! Back at camp we roasted hot dogs with all the fixins. Next, was the playground with the kids. I don't know who had more fun the kids or DAN (look at the pix's below and you will see what I am talking about). After playing hard Dan, Jay and Dalton headed off on a hike and the girls relaxed and played at camp. Dinner time was Dan's job, we had wonderful food and great conversation. The McCoy's joined us for dinner and fun after. The guys cleaned up dinner and watched the kiddos while the woman ventured into the trailer for some serious PHASE 10, can you say ANNETTE AND WINNER in the same sentence! Sorry had to throw that in and no I did not break my arm from patting my self on the back LOL! Late night of conversation and fire we turned in for our last night!

Sunday we woke to warm weather, no jackets even during breakfast warm! We ate a wonderful breakfast prepared by the Willis's, played and broke camp to head home. What a fun couple of days with friends.

This is the MORE I mentioned in the title. After cleaning up from camping we put on our Sunday best to head to Michelle's church to watch Baby Mckenna get blessed. What a beautiful baby she is. Then to Lonny and Michelle's for a Bar-B-Que to celebrate the occasion. We had fun talking, eating again and seeing family we had not seen for awhile.
