WHERE HAVE I BEEN . . . .

Wow, it has been some time since I have posted. So I will just randomly throw out some thoughts of what has been going on with the Morgan Family.

The kids received their report cards and all three of them have done very well this term. I am so proud of them. I have been working mornings at the school still and been picking up as many half-day subbing jobs as I can get my hands on. I have enjoyed subbing more than I thought I would, it is an eye-opener to me and reminds me how blessed I am to have the children and family I have. Dan is still working at EG&G.

We took Georgette to the doctor at the first of November and was told she needed her tonsils out. We have scheduled that surgery for the 16th of December. Dalton also had a diabetes appointment the 25th of November and his A1C was great. He amazes me every day how well he handles this disease.-

This year for Thanksgiving, I knew it would be strange, because Dan and I decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and just be with our kids. We are so used to doing family stuff, I was having mixed emotions about it all. However, we would have never guessed it was going to be difficult in other ways.

Thanksgiving morning at 1:00 a.m. I received a call on my cell phone, it was my parents ring tone, so it totally shocked me and when I looked at the time I knew it could not be good news. After saying hello, I heard my dad say the words "Sis, grandma Anderson passed away a few minutes ago." I was shocked, sad, mad, puzzled, who knew someone could go through so many emotions at once. I was dressed and on my way to Stockton in a matter of minutes. My Thanksgiving was an emotional day, when I got home at 6:00 a.m I could not sleep so I began cooking my Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked, I cried, I cooked, I cried and somehow I made it through the day! The rest of the weekend was a whirlwind of events.

December 2nd Dalton participated in a hoop shoot contest at school. He won the school level and will be participating in a hoop shoot contest Saturday.

Somewhere, in the past few weeks, my in-laws have sold their house and picked out a new one. They are so excited and I am happy for them. They will be moving the weekend after Georgie gets her tonsils out. I feel bad that I won't be able to help them but hopefully Dan can work hard enough to make up for my absence. Congrats on the new home!

Oh ya, can't forget I bought me a new (used) beater car LOL! Dan put me on restriction from the diesel. I can't complain it is paid for and I don't have to fill up as often as I did the truck. Plus, it does not cost as much to fill it up!

December 5th the cubscouts had an activity at Home Depot and made the cutest wagons. Dan and I are both in cubs so my girls went with and was so excited about their wagons (I will post pictures soon). Then it was off to the Chamber of Commerce Santa parade. We froze our butts off, but the kids had a great time, after all the kids is what Christmas is for, right?

December 11th, which brings us to date. The girls had their Christmas Dance Recital tonight. I love watching my children perform. They did a wonderful job and I am proud of each and everyone of my children.

This has been a tough couple of weeks. I am reminded of a book that I have been reading, IF LIFE WERE EASY IT WOULDN'T BE HARD!

P.S. I need to thank all my family and friends who have been their for me. It was great to feel the love you each shared in your own way. I have the best family and friends!
