So here are a few little conversations my little Whitney has had the past month. I think she believes that if you add accidentally in front of things it makes it all okay!
We had just went to the Santa Parade here in Tooele. We waited an hour in line to see Santa and when we got in the car here was part of our conversation:
Mom: Whitney what did you ask Santa for?
Whitney: PollyPocketRollerCoaster (because she does not breathe when she says it), BEE-noculars (Binoculars); and Make-up.
Mom: That is a lot of stuff! Did Santa ask you if you had been a good girl?
Whitney: Yes!
Mom: What did you tell him?
Whitney: I ACCIDENTALLY told him yes!
LOL
Now turn the time to Christmas morning, Whitney wakes up and opens all her Santa gifts. We get a phone call from Grandma Connie and this is the conversation.
Grandma: Did Santa come?
Whitney: U-huh
Grandma: What did he bring you?
Whitney: Everything I asked for he must of ACCIDENTALLY forgot that I ACCIDENTALLY lied to him about being nice!
LOL
For Christmas Whitney got her Polly Pocket Roller Coaster and there is a place you can put water so it splashes through. All day Whitney asked for water, we told her no it is a summer time activity and when it is warm she can take it outside and play. So the day after Christmas my parents brought Dan's B-day gift and we were sitting around the table, Whitney walks in the kitchen with her I just done something I shouldn't have look.
Mom: Whitney what are you doing?
Whitney: I spilled something in the N0-No room!
Mom: What did you spill?
Whitney: I spilled water and it ACCIDENTALLY landed in my Polly Pocket Roller Coaster!
LOL
Her little accidents have kept me and dad laughing!

Georgette Surgery
December 16th Georgette had her tonsils and adenoids removed. She is such a trooper. I am still second guessing my decision to have them out. She is not up and going like I thought she would be a week following, but in the long run I hope it all works out. Thanks to everyone for their love and concern.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN . . . .
Wow, it has been some time since I have posted. So I will just randomly throw out some thoughts of what has been going on with the Morgan Family.
The kids received their report cards and all three of them have done very well this term. I am so proud of them. I have been working mornings at the school still and been picking up as many half-day subbing jobs as I can get my hands on. I have enjoyed subbing more than I thought I would, it is an eye-opener to me and reminds me how blessed I am to have the children and family I have. Dan is still working at EG&G.
We took Georgette to the doctor at the first of November and was told she needed her tonsils out. We have scheduled that surgery for the 16th of December. Dalton also had a diabetes appointment the 25th of November and his A1C was great. He amazes me every day how well he handles this disease.-
This year for Thanksgiving, I knew it would be strange, because Dan and I decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and just be with our kids. We are so used to doing family stuff, I was having mixed emotions about it all. However, we would have never guessed it was going to be difficult in other ways.
Thanksgiving morning at 1:00 a.m. I received a call on my cell phone, it was my parents ring tone, so it totally shocked me and when I looked at the time I knew it could not be good news. After saying hello, I heard my dad say the words "Sis, grandma Anderson passed away a few minutes ago." I was shocked, sad, mad, puzzled, who knew someone could go through so many emotions at once. I was dressed and on my way to Stockton in a matter of minutes. My Thanksgiving was an emotional day, when I got home at 6:00 a.m I could not sleep so I began cooking my Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked, I cried, I cooked, I cried and somehow I made it through the day! The rest of the weekend was a whirlwind of events.
December 2nd Dalton participated in a hoop shoot contest at school. He won the school level and will be participating in a hoop shoot contest Saturday.
Somewhere, in the past few weeks, my in-laws have sold their house and picked out a new one. They are so excited and I am happy for them. They will be moving the weekend after Georgie gets her tonsils out. I feel bad that I won't be able to help them but hopefully Dan can work hard enough to make up for my absence. Congrats on the new home!
Oh ya, can't forget I bought me a new (used) beater car LOL! Dan put me on restriction from the diesel. I can't complain it is paid for and I don't have to fill up as often as I did the truck. Plus, it does not cost as much to fill it up!
December 5th the cubscouts had an activity at Home Depot and made the cutest wagons. Dan and I are both in cubs so my girls went with and was so excited about their wagons (I will post pictures soon). Then it was off to the Chamber of Commerce Santa parade. We froze our butts off, but the kids had a great time, after all the kids is what Christmas is for, right?
December 11th, which brings us to date. The girls had their Christmas Dance Recital tonight. I love watching my children perform. They did a wonderful job and I am proud of each and everyone of my children.
This has been a tough couple of weeks. I am reminded of a book that I have been reading, IF LIFE WERE EASY IT WOULDN'T BE HARD!
P.S. I need to thank all my family and friends who have been their for me. It was great to feel the love you each shared in your own way. I have the best family and friends!
I will post pictures soon of most of these events!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA MORGAN
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!
Grandma said she did not want a party and that she was going to SLC for dinner with grandpa on her birthday. So we went up a night early and surprised her with her favorite chocolate cherry cake, present and a little singing. Yes, Dan even sang with us! Happy Birthday Grandma!

Hello! Where did October go??? Well the whole family has had something or another, except me (knock on wood). So between doctors, school, doctors, baseball, doctors, dance and more doctors, well I have not had much time to blog. Thought I would take a minute and at least put on some Halloween Pictures. This year the candy fairy that visits Dalton each year came a day early and left him some tickets to the Utes Blackout game. It was the best Halloween Dalton has had in 5 years. It worked out great because for Halloween he wanted to be a Ute Fan, Georgette wanted to be a big BABY and well our little Whitney was so excited to be a "Booger", not a hamburger but the actual thing that comes from your nose. We had a fun night filled with trick or treating fun.
In October we also finished up fall baseball, had an unsuccessful deer hunt. Dalton and Dan had a little more luck come November 1st, when they got a coyote and I don't know who was more excited, dad or son!
Looking forward to November, lets hope it is a healthy month for the Morgan family!

FALL FUN!
We spent Saturday afternoon scouting out a new camping/deer hunting spot. They really messed with our hunt this year only having the area we usually go open for 5 days. So we decided to load up the kids and check out a couple new spots. It was great weather, the fall colors were beautiful and the best surprise of all was the PINENUTS we scored. I am hoping when we go back Saturday we can be more prepared and get some more. I have not had pinenuts baking in my house forever, the smell is wonderful and the taste well YUMMY! I love afternoons like that, a nice four wheeler ride and then roasting hot dogs on a fire, it almost beats eating at the OUTBACK, (joking).
FIRE STATION FUN . . .
So I have counted the times I have chaperoned a field trip to the fire station with my three kids and I think it is way more than any person should have to visit (8 times, would have been 9 but if I recall right I think I made Crapa George go with Whitney her first year of preschool because they changed the time and I was at work and he had just retired, lucky for CRAPA!).
However, I put on my big girl pants and went one more time (I am thinking it should be my final time). It seems like yesterday I was going with Dalton his first year of preschool and now with Whitney while she is in kindergarten, boy time flies. I enjoyed the walk and the experience with her.
I am also throwing in a few pictures of crazy hair day at our school this week in connection with RED RIBBON WEEK! ENJOY!

Dalton Takes 3rd & Receives his Bear
We had our annual derby/bake sale/cake auction for the cub scouts pack meeting last week. This year we tried out the space derby since none of us leaders had ever seen one, with the exception of my scouter husband Dan. Dalton had a great time working on his spaceship with his dad, baking his cake with me and decorating it with grandma Connie. I am sure you can all guess what his cake was decorated like, but just in case you can't here is a picture of it. His space derby was red and whit to match the cake! The night was full of excitement, fun and good food. Thanks for all the support everyone gave, Dalton is a special little boy with a lot of people supporting him. At the end of the night he walked away with 3rd place, but that was nothing compared to the fun he had with his family.

My little man is not so little anymore!
Well I have to admit I can not keep him my baby boy for much longer. Despite all my worries, concerns and control issues I let Dalton miss his first day of school to go deer hunting with dad. He was so excited until he got home and realized that he had to do make up work for the day as homework. I am glad that he is able to spend time with Dan doing something they both enjoy so much. Every time he takes a giant step like this he comes back home a bigger boy, it makes me want to cry or freeze time or something. Here are a few pictures of their special day.

Fall = Grateful
For some reason when the season changes, I always begin to reflect on my life and think of things I am grateful for, so for today I am grateful for:
My husband: who works hard to provide a good life for his family. For helping me learn the hard lesson of patience, understanding, and the fact that I can not control everything in my life.
My kids: for making me smile, feel important and needed.
My parents: for always being there for me no matter what, when, where or what time. For teaching me how to get back up again after I fall and most of all how to stay committed to when the going gets tough.
Family: because of them I know the meaning of unconditional love.
Diabetes: (shocked) Yes I am thankful for diabetes. It has taught me to not take things for granite.
Modern Medicine: because of modern medicine, I can manage Dalton's diabetes at home and his life can be somewhat normal.
Home: a place I can hang my hat and put up my feet and know that I am safe.
Work: I love the children I work with, the people I work with. No need to say more.
Friends: because everyone needs a smile, shoulder or someone to lean on every now and then.
There are many more things I am grateful for but for today these are my tops. I hope you all take a moment each day and think of at least 3 things your thankful for, so that you can smile for a minute even on your worst days!
Sending my love to you all!

GO FIRE-DRAGONS!
Whitney's first soccer game! She done wonderful, she was a lot more aggressive than I ever imagined her to be. She actually paid attention and did not have the typical Whitney "I don't care" attitude. I am so proud of her and I am happy to see Dan volunteer his time as her coach. I know it means a lot to Whitney! CHEERS to a great season ahead of us!

Picture this . . .
So I just have to share a couple conversations I have had in the last 24 hours with my little kindergarten. If you know Whitney at all you can totally picture this . . .
Mom is standing next to the truck with the back door open to get the kiddos from school. Remind you that it is Whitney's first day of all day kindergarten. She comes running with brother and sister with a smile. All is going well until our conversation begins and here it goes:
Mom: Hey sweetie how was school to day?
Whitney: Not good (as she walks by me and slams the truck door)
Mom: (after getting in the truck) What happened?
Whitney: (One hand on hip the... other pointing a finger at me) I told you I should not do long day, I am to tired for this!
Mom: (trying to hold back the laughter) Oh it will get easier next week!
Whitney: (very excited) tells me all about her 1st day and how the Gingerbread man got away!
So then trying to start out on a better note, this is the conversation I have with her on our way to work/school this morning. Picture if you will . . .
Mom: Are you going to have a better day at school today?
Whitney: Are you taking the camera? When you take pictures of me in the lunch room it is embarrassing! (then starts sucking her thumb and looking out the window).
YES, and this is only kindergarten! What am I in for?????????

LEAVING SCHOOL EMPTY HANDED . . . .
As most of you know that follow my blog I began working at Northlake Elementary when Georgette was attending the pre-school there. Dalton and Georgette would go to work with me and when I was done at 11:30 I would pick Georgette up and we would go home together. The next year she was in kindergarten so we followed the same routine. Then last year Whitney started preschool at Northlake so for 4 out of 5 of my work days I would leave the school hand in hand with Whitney.
Well today, I left the school to walk out into the parking lot and had no hand to grab. Momma Morgan walked to the truck empty handed and I am not quite sure how I feel about this yet.

Monday began a new school year, which was nothing new to me! However, today was the first day of kindergarten for my baby. All day kindergarten at that! Here are a few pictures of my oldest two on their first day and some of Whitney today on her first day of school.
There are a lot of first's for me this year and I hope I can survive. Leaving school empty handed and not checking on Dalton before I leave. I am trying to give him a little room to grow up, but boy is it hard to wait from 11:30 until 12:15 when I finally get the call to let me know his BG is ok. Mamma Morgan is trying to get over her control issues and boy is it tough! However, I am looking forward to an exciting year and I love working where my kiddos go to school!
